Graffiti Art

Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus hosted a community paint
party to transform its boarded-up storefront into a canvas for messages of love,
peace, and antiracism. Located on the prominent corner of Mt. Diablo Boulevard and
Main Street, Neiman Marcus was among the stores in the Broadway Plaza damaged
by looters on May 31 that resulted in millions of dollars in damages and losses.

Local volunteers and artists worked throughout the day Tuesday painting bold graffiti-style murals on Neiman Marcus’ closed wood-covered building awakening passersby to the power of artists' messages.
