The Diablo Symphony Orchestra brings a variety of musical styles to Lesher's outdoor Regney Plaza on the 19th and 26th of June in open rehearsals of ensemble pieces that appeal to all ages. There is no charge, so simply stop by - alone, with friends or with family - to enjoy some or all of the program (and look for the orchestra's recently installed paver). The music starts at 5:30 with a percussion duo playing arrangements of "Lift Every Voice and Sing" as well as music by Duke Ellington; at 6 pm, winds and percussion play Copland, Strauss and more; at 7 pm, strings round out the evening with Grieg, Florence Price, William-Grant Still and Mozart. The DSO is excited about this opportunity to play in this beautifully renovated outdoor space in the heart of Walnut Creek, and looks forward to seeing you there!
